Setting Goals

Even though I have objectives and know the general direction I want to go into, what I want to do, what I love to do, and most importantly, what I don’t particularly enjoy doing, the industry (online and technology), domain (helping people), I never set the final target of my journey. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, and I know now what it is:

I want to do something worthy of a TED speech. A TEDx is the first step, and the original TED is the second. Ever since the first time I saw a TED conference, I’ve been dying to participate in one, to meet the speakers, to feel the knowledge first-hand, to understand how they got there and the troubles they went through. That desire turned into wanting to be one of them, which is my objective, as declared today, April 23rd, 2014, at 9:38 am.

As per which speakers I’d like to meet:

  1. Sir Ken Robinson
  2. Malcolm Gladwell
  3. Elizabeth Gilbert
  4. Elif Shafak

This is one TED talk that changed my life (the book, Stumbling on Happiness is even better than the speech):
